A furrowed brow, contemplative smirk, and focused gaze: this is our Weaver.

Their work towers above them, woven from life experiences, continues practice and acquired thread.

With their tools and supplies strapped to their person the Weaver reaches ever taller to continue work on their masterpiece, ensuring they take the time to teach others how to start creating masterpieces of their own.

The Weaver and the Tapestry is a roaming stilt performance designed for street and parade performances.

Created by Rachel Hartmann and Geert Rigters, the piece draws inspiration from the immense amount of practice needed to become an artist.

A heap of fabric scraps, tools and practice pieces, bound in a delicately embroidered corset: this is our Tapestry.

With every piece of practice our Tapestry outgrew the reach of our Weaver.

Sentient and mischievous, the Tapestry is curious about its new found surroundings.

The Weaver and the Tapestry is currently in active development.
All images shared here are part of a work-in-progress photoshoot with Csilla Horvath Photography in the spring of 2026.

The show is self-sufficient, can be performed indoors or outdoors.

Our characters stand out in a crowd day and night due to not just their height but their striking appearance with subtle lighting effects further enhancing their magical feel once the sun goes down.

This show is perfect for festivals, street performances, park events and parties, with plenty of audience interaction for those who want to interact and plenty to see for those who don’t!
